Aspö gård a place for everyone
Even if you live in an apartment right in the heart of town, the countryside is right on your doorstep. We welcome all visitors, whether you’re a Skövde resident, a tenant, or just passing through. As a tenant of Skövdebostäder, however, you enjoy benefits such as discounts at the café and on venue rentals.
We offer spaces for parties, conferences, club activities, meetings, and similar events. The courtyard also features club activities, garden plots, and play and picnic areas.
During the summer months, our urban farm is open. Animals on the farm include cows, sheep, chickens, pigs, rabbits, and bees.
We at Aspö gård
We're the ones you'll meet when you visit Aspö gård. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to talk to us when you see us.
Martina is the farm manager and works year-round at Aspö gård. She handles venue reservations and is primarily the one who responds to Aspö’s emails.
During the summer months, we have two seasonal hosts on site. They work primarily on weekends and, during the vacation period, also on weekdays. The two seasonal hosts for 2026 are Johanna and Siobhán.
Aspö gård also Aspö gård the neighborhood group that manages the Aspö Eko-logi Frostaliden residential areas. If you ask them questions, they will answer to the best of their ability, but they are not as familiar with the farm’s operations as the farm manager and seasonal staff are.
In the evenings during the summer months, you may run into Anders, the owner of the farm animals, or one of his employees. It’s important to us that the animals are well cared for and have a peaceful home here at Aspö gård why we also check on them in the evenings.

Here on Aspö, Skövdebostäder has created an area with both people and the environment in mind. When you visit us, please be considerate of animals, other visitors, and the environment.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times during their stay
- All play is at your own risk
- Take Care of Your Trash
- Please be considerate of animals, nature, and other visitors
- If you would like to pet or feed the animals, please contact the staff first
- Wash your hands after petting the animals
- Dogs must be on a leash; they are not allowed in animal barns or to approach the pastures. Dogs are, of course, welcome as companions—but if you want to walk your dog, you must do so outside the farm grounds.
- Restrooms are available during the farm's hours of operation at the entrance from the parking lot
- Smoking is prohibited on the property
Transmission between humans and animals
Remember to wash your hands after handling the animals so you don't get sick or spread any germs to others.
Animals carry bacteria that do not make them sick, but we humans—and especially children—can get sick from them. For example, it is common for cows and sheep to carry EHEC bacteria without getting sick themselves.
Wash your hands and change your clothes before visiting animals at other locations to avoid spreading infection between stables and your own animals at home.
Did you know that we humans can also spread illnesses to animals? Pigs, for example, can catch colds. Stay home if you're sick.
At our facility, you can wash your hands in the restrooms, which are open when the farm is open.
