Skövdebostäder is currently preparing a feasibility study for a potential construction project in Tidan. The site we are evaluating is located in Närlunda, behind the ICA store.

Our focus is on creating safe and accessible ground-floor housing. For example, these apartments are ideal for those who want to sell their house and live comfortably in an easy-to-maintain rental unit.
We are exploring the possibility of building three-room apartments with a kitchen in semi-detached homes—where each unit will have its own patio, parking space, and storage room.
Tidan – Scenic and with a wide range of services
Tidan is located about 27 km north of Skövde and is also close to both Mariestad and Töreboda. The town is surrounded by a scenic cultural landscape with waterways such as the Tidan River and Lake Östen. Local amenities include a grocery store, several shops, a café, a pizzeria, an antique shop, and a gas station. There is also a health center, a preschool, an elementary school, a youth center, and a retirement home with the municipal “Träffpunkten,” where activities are organized for those aged 65 and older. Tidan offers a vibrant community life, and the town has a sports field, a floodlit jogging trail, and a heated outdoor swimming pool.
Proposals for 2026
We are currently in the planning phase, with the goal of presenting a construction proposal in 2026. This means that, at this time, we cannot provide further information regarding, for example, rent or move-in dates. Once the planning and procurement processes are complete, the board will decide on the potential awarding of the construction contract and the start of construction.
