Here's how we handle broken appliances in your home
June 15, 2026
When a major appliance breaks down, we want it to be repaired smoothly and fairly. That’s why…
Skövde is the ultimate student city, where you can enjoy both the opportunities of a big city and the charm of a small town. From the campus and Skövdebostäder's student housing, you can easily reach shops, cafés, restaurants, and entertainment on foot or by bike. The train and bus station is also just a few minutes' walk away.
Skövdebostäder prioritizes consideration, ambition, long-term thinking, and customer focus. We work actively for the environment, the future, and development, and it is important to us that you, as a student tenant, are happy with your accommodation.

Skövdebostäder's student apartments are rented out via a special student housing queue and only to people who have been admitted to the University of Skövde. If you are interested in renting a student apartment, you must register yourinterest in our student housing queue. This also applies if you already live with Skövdebostäder.
Please note! Distance learning at the University of Skövde or other educational institutions does not qualify as a reason for renting a student apartment.
You can submit your expression of interest to our housing waiting list starting the year you turn 15. Please note that we have one waiting list for student apartments and another for regular apartments. If you want to be on both, you’ll need to submit two expressions of interest.
– The waiting period is calculated from the day you submit your expression of interest, and you earn one point for each day you are on the housing waiting list. For example, after one year on the list, you will have accumulated 365 points.
There is no other way to earn more points. Points are personal and cannot be transferred or combined with someone else's points.
You must update your expression of interest once a year to avoid being removed from the waiting list.
To do this, log in to My Pages, open "Student Interest Form," review the information, and save.
To be eligible to apply for student housing, you must not be older than 54.
Once a week, we publish available apartments on our website. There may also be weeks when no student apartments are advertised. The publication of a rental round lasts for at least four days, during which time you can register your interest in the advertised student apartments you are interested in. On My Pages, you can prioritize the order in which you are interested in these apartments.
If you have the longest waiting time for one or more student apartments you have expressed interest in, you will receive an offer for the apartment you have prioritized highest. You can only receive one offer at a time. This is normally sent by email, but can also be viewed on My Pages. If you decline this offer, you will not receive any new offers from the same rental round – even if you are number one on the waiting list for another apartment. Therefore, only register your interest in apartments that you are genuinely interested in.
Tip! You can set up email alerts so you don't miss out when apartments that interest you are advertised.
If you receive an offer for a student apartment, you must normally accept or decline it within two days. For example, if you receive an offer on a Tuesday, you must give your answer by Thursday of the same week. The easiest way to respond is through My Pages. If you decline the offer or do not respond within the specified time frame, the offer will be passed on to the next person in line.
Email can sometimes be an unreliable means of communication. Individual emails may get caught in your inbox's spam filter, depending on which email provider you use and what settings you have. Skövdebostäder therefore recommends that you log in to My Pages regularly to check whether you have received any offers. Remember that it is primarily your responsibility to respond in time.
If you fail to respond to offers on three occasions, you will be blocked from registering your interest in new apartments. The block will remain in place for six months.
Once you have accepted the offer, it is time to sign the contract. In order to do so, there are a few requirements you must meet.
You must have a current letter of admission to the University of Skövde for at least 15 credits per semester. If you have applied but have not yet been admitted, you cannot sign a contract.
When you sign a contract, the waiting time for your application in the student housing queue is reset to zero. You also cannot apply for new housing with Skövdebostäder within six months of your move-in date.
