Joint Crisis Drill Strengthens Collaboration

Training strengthens cooperation and ensures that we are prepared for a real-life incident. That was the reason for the joint exercise based on a hypothetical scenario.

Skövdebostäder, together with the City of Skövde, the Emergency Services, and the Police, conducted a joint drill on November 12, 2025. The purpose was to strengthen our collaboration, crisis management, and ability to provide support in crisis situations.

The exercise was based on a fictional scenario involving an apartment building. By using a real address, we were able to work with blueprints and documentation that closely resembled a real-life situation.

By practicing together, we were able to identify strengths and areas for improvement in our collaboration among the various stakeholders. This will better equip us to respond quickly and effectively to future incidents.

In a news article about the exercise on Skovde.se, Alexandra Wahn, who served as the chief exercise coordinator for the municipality of Skövde, says:

– The exercise demonstrated how important it is not just to keep track of our own operations. Our strength lies in coordination and our ability to link our efforts together to make the whole system work. We enhance that ability by training together.

“This is exactly why we conduct drills. We do it to be better prepared when it really counts, and this drill gave us several specific areas for improvement to work on,” says Erik Petterson, drill leader at Skövdebostäder, in the same article.
