UPDATED 2/8: Comprehensive information about the COVID-19 coronavirus
Here is all the information we have compiled regarding Skövdebostäder and the COVID-19 coronavirus. We are following the advice of the Public Health Agency of Sweden and want to protect you, your neighbors, and our staff from the spread of infection as much as possible.
What is Skövdebostäder doing in response to the coronavirus?
We are monitoring the situation closely and have plans in place to ensure we can provide the necessary services to our tenants if a large number of our staff become ill. We are adjusting our procedures as the Public Health Agency of Sweden’s guidance changes, and we will post updates here on our website as they become available.
Of course, we follow the Public Health Agency of Sweden’s recommendations—such as staying home if you have respiratory symptoms.
Reporting a Problem and Home Visits
To protect you, our staff, and your neighbors from infection, we have changed the way we work. As a tenant, it’s important to keep the following in mind:
Social Distancing
A good way to reduce the risk of spreading infection is to avoid getting too close to one another. That is why we ask that you maintain a safe distance from our staff while they are working.
We avoid home visits when respiratory symptoms are present
If we or one of our contractors is scheduled to perform work at your home, we ask that you be healthy and free of symptoms that could indicate COVID-19. If you or anyone in your family has, for example, a sore throat, fever, cough, or feels unwell, it is important that you call to cancel the appointment. This applies even if you are fully vaccinated.
If the work is urgent, we can make an exception—but only if precautions are taken during the work.
Access to protective equipment
Our staff has access to protective equipment that they can use as needed.
In apartments where COVID-19 infection has been confirmed
If you or someone in your household has tested positive for COVID-19, we will only perform work if it is urgent. In that case, we will take extreme precautions—including wearing protective gear and using a master key to gain entry. If this type of situation arises, we will discuss the procedure with you over the phone beforehand.
Vaccination
COVID-19 vaccinations are underway in Västra Götaland. Everyone living in Sweden is offered a free vaccination by the region. You can read more about the vaccination on the Public Health Agency of Sweden’s website.

Viewings in Connection with an Offer
When a prospective tenant receives an offer, they are also offered a tour of the apartment before accepting it. Typically, the outgoing tenant shows the apartment to the person who has received the offer. However, there may now be a reason to avoid this meeting. If you—whether you’re the one moving out or the one viewing the apartment—don’t feel comfortable meeting in person due to the risks associated with the coronavirus (COVID-19), the decision is up to you. If even one of you doesn’t want the meeting to take place, you shouldn’t meet.
If you decide to proceed with the viewing, please maintain a safe distance and avoid greeting each other with a handshake or other physical contact.
It is therefore possible that an applicant may have to accept an offer and sign a lease without having seen the apartment before moving in. The acceptance is still binding, and if you, as the applicant, are awarded the lease, your queue points will be reset to zero.
The Home Store
We will resume our regular business hours starting February 11. Information about the Bobutiken and how to contact customer service.
Please remember to maintain a safe distance from other visitors and our staff during your visit. Please come only if you are symptom-free.

Among other things, they have an app that lets you see what the wallpaper looks like right on the wall at home! Our standard selection includes the Borosan Easy Up 20 and Decorama Easy Up 2019 collections.
Common Areas Now Open for Reservations
The authorities have updated their regulations regarding private events. This means we can reopen our community spaces, and you can now book time slots starting February 11 and beyond.
A new reservation may be necessary
For those of you who made your reservation before the facilities closed—and had booked times in February and March—your old reservation is no longer valid. This means you’ll need to log in and make a new reservation. However, if you booked on or after April 1, your reservation is still saved in the system.
Exceptions on Billingstorpsvägen and Spånvägen
The venue at Billingsstopsvägen 10 is still closed due to renovations of the kitchen and the sewer system in the area.
The venue on Spånvägen for booking on weekends starting February 18. Weekday bookings will be available starting March 4. The reason for this is that we need to use the venue as a staff room for a short while. As an employer, we are responsible for the work environment and for ensuring good service to our tenants. We therefore want to return to normal operations gradually, so that we can maintain social distancing and avoid the risk of many members of our staff getting sick at once. At the same time, we are, of course, eager for our tenants to be able to use their spaces as soon as possible.
Aspö Farm
The facilities at Aspö Farm will open on February 9. Information about the facilities at Aspö and reservations.
It is important to follow the recommendations
Please be sure to follow the Public Health Agency of Sweden’s other recommendations when you are on our premises—for example, only come if you are symptom-free and avoid indoor gatherings if you are unvaccinated.
