At Fältskären , you Fältskären feel the breath of history while still enjoying modern living in a newly renovated student apartment. The building, which dates back to 1906, was renovated in 2023–2024, and all units were fitted with new kitchens and bathrooms, among other upgrades. Most apartments are unique—but all are well-planned and have plenty of charm.
The building features brand-new equipment, while at the same time retaining elements such as the staircases from when it was first built. Some apartments feature preserved details—such as original stone floors, herringbone parquet, or original stone window sills.
Fältskären plenty of practical solutions that help students make the most of their living space. For example, several units have alcoves or sleeping lofts that you can access via a ladder. All apartments have their own kitchen —and in the studio apartments, it may either be integrated into the main room or located in a separate room.
The apartments already come equipped with a hat rack, blinds, sliding-door closets, and beautiful, period-style ceiling lights—which will help you get settled in quickly. As a tenant, you’re not allowed to drill into the walls at Fältskären yourself, but we’ve installed hook strips where you can easily hang pictures and decorations to make your apartment feel like home.
The three-bedroom apartments have their own dishwasher in the kitchen. The laundry room was renovated in 2024 and is located in the basement. All apartments are connected to the student network, SHS, with speeds of up to 100 Mbit. You also have the option to choose from Open Universe’s selection of fiber services.
Fältskären located right next to the university and not far from downtown— the perfect location for a student. Most places are within biking or walking distance, and there are plenty of train and bus connections from the travel center. So there’s little need for a car—but if you’d still like a parking space, you can rent one through a special waiting list. Recycling facilities are located near the building.
Fältskären surrounded by lush trees, and there is a communal outdoor seating area. The area is smoke-free —which means smoking is prohibited except in a specially marked outdoor smoking area.
