Havstenavägen 6 and Henriksbergsgatan – no age restriction
Henriksbergsgatan and Havstenavägen 6 will no longer have an age limit for renting apartments in these buildings. Residents will still have access to the common room and the guest apartment.
Gamla skolan Trygghetsboende 65+
The apartments at Gamla skolan have served as senior housing until now will, effective immediately, become assisted living units, with the age limit changed to 65. This transition to assisted living also means that we will have an assisted living coordinator on site for a certain number of hours, three to six days a week.
The age limit for Fältspaten lowered
As part of this change, Skövdebostäder’s senior living facility, Fältspaten, will lower its age limit to 65.
The senior living concept will be developed in the spring of 2023
In parallel with the changes to the age limits, we are working to develop the “Safe Housing” concept and determine what additional services it should include beyond a community center, overnight accommodations, and some staffing. This is expected to be completed in the spring of 2023.
319 senior housing units
For those who have turned 65, there will now be 319 apartments available for rent under this program. These are located at Fältspaten, Norra Aspövägen 2, Mossagården, and Gamla skolan. Skövde Municipality also has senior housing units that are rented out through Skövdebostäder’s housing waiting list. These are Boken, Bagaren, Käpplunda gärde, Solgården, and Billingsdal. Skövde Municipality’s senior living units will maintain their age limit of 70 years.
How does it work in practice?
Tenants in the affected properties have been informed of the change. The age limit for applying for vacant units will be removed or changed during week 40. After that, the information on the website will be updated to reflect the new concept.
