Skövdebostäder On-Call Vehicle

Property and Safety Hotline: We're here for you!

Did you know that Skövdebostäder has an on-call service available in the evenings and on weekends? In the event of an emergency in your apartment or building after regular business hours, you can always contact our property and security on-call service. You can also call the on-call service if you’re experiencing disturbances from neighbors or if you’ve locked yourself out.

In the event of emergency malfunctions and lock openings

In the event of emergency issues during evenings and weekends—such as water leaks, clogged drains, elevator malfunctions, or electrical problems in your apartment or building—always file a service request or contact the on-call service at 0500-43 70 00. If you’ve locked yourself out, you can also get help, but keep in mind that lock-opening services are provided only to leaseholders, and you’ll need to be prepared to show identification. Security guards from Securitas perform lock-opening services, and you’ll pay 800 kronor directly to them.

For non-urgent issues, please submit a support ticket as usual via My Pages or contact our customer service center during regular business hours by calling 0500-47 74 00.

If your neighbors are bothering you

If you feel bothered by your neighbors, you can also call the on-call service. Our service provider, Securitas, handles these calls in the evenings, at night, and on weekends. During the day, please contact our Housing and Social Services Unit. Call our switchboard at 0500-47 74 00 and press 4.

All disturbances are documented, and you must provide your name, property number, and phone number. This information is then treated confidentially with regard to the disruptive neighbor. There is no charge for reporting a disturbance, and it is important to file the report immediately, as it serves as evidence and documentation needed to pursue the matter further and potentially initiate legal proceedings.

Real Estate Preparedness

The Property On-Call Service consists of Skövdebostäder’s own staff, including both neighborhood managers and technical staff. They are on call for one week at a time and are on standby during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays—even on Christmas Eve—to respond to calls in all of Skövdebostäder’s residential areas. All calls are first received by Securitas, which assesses the urgency of the situation and then forwards the call to the person on call. Securitas handles service calls and lock openings.

Felix Odenbom is one of the thirteen employees assigned to the on-call roster. Felix has been employed as an operations technician at Skövdebostäder for six years and has been on call for almost as long. About four times a year, he is in charge of the on-call roster.

“The best thing about working on call is the variety. You never know what an evening or night will be like. There’s usually the most to do on weekends from 6 to 10 p.m., but it can just as easily be busy on a Thursday, for example,” says Felix. The calls are spread across all of Skövdebostäder’s neighborhoods, and he doesn’t think any particular area stands out as having more service requests than others. Felix also says it feels good to be able to help and be there for people. Most are incredibly grateful and happy, and they think the on-call team arrives quickly and does a great job.

But what are the most common issues? – One thing we often get called out for is when there’s a partial power outage in apartments because a main fuse has blown in the basement. Clogged drains and dry-boiling incidents—that is, when a tenant has left a pot on the stove, causing the fire alarm to go off—are also common, explains Felix.

Felix also recounts an incident from a couple of years ago when, on a Saturday evening, most of Billingssluttningen was without hot water. A pump had broken down, and the outage affected over a hundred apartments. Luckily, there was a spare pump in stock, so Felix called in a colleague, and together they replaced the pump so the tenants could have hot water again. That’s when it’s great to have the on-call service!
