In light of the recent change in the provider of free TV programming on the Openuniverse network, we would like to clarify a few things with these questions and answers.
Who has a contract with Allente?
Openuniverse has an agreement with Allente
This free service is provided through a group subscription that Openuniverse has with Allente, which you, as a tenant, can take advantage of. Skövdebostäder does not have a direct agreement with Allente, even though some of the information Allente sends out suggests otherwise.
How do I contact support?

Skövdebostäder has a contract with Openuniverse as its communications provider. Openuniverse, in turn, has a group subscription with Allente that allows tenants to subscribe to a selection of five HD channels at no cost. If you experience any issues with the equipment or anything else related to this subscription, please call Allente’s support for group subscriptions at 08-525 081 06 and mention Skövdebostäder as the property owner. You will also likely need to provide your address, apartment number, and, if applicable, the serial number or VUA number on the set-top box. This number is located either on the bottom or on the side of the box.
What should I do if my box or other equipment is broken?
Allente will replace broken equipment free of charge. Call Allente’s support line for group subscriptions at 08-525 081 06 and specify Skövdebostäder as the property owner. You should be able to provide your address and apartment number, as well as the serial number or vUA number on the box, if applicable. This number is located either on the bottom or on the side of the box.
How do I activate and set up my box?
We understand that an installation manual is not always included with all set-top boxes. If you are having problems with your equipment or installation, you should first contact Allente’s support for community subscriptions at 08-525 081 06 and mention the property owner. You will also likely need to provide your address, apartment number, and, if applicable, the serial number or VUA number on the set-top box. This number is located either on the bottom of the set-top box or on the side.
Can I get help with the installation?
Installation Assistance for the Free TV Box from Allente
If you’re having trouble installing your TV box from Allente, as a tenant you can book installation assistance directly with Smartify by calling 077-446 60 60. Their business hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.–3 p.m., with a lunch break from 12 p.m.–1 p.m. Installation assistance costs 595 kronor per hour after the RUT tax deduction. They do not charge for travel to your location. The installation is usually completed within an hour by their technician.
What should I do with my equipment when I move?
To cancel your service, call Allente’s group subscription support at 08-525 081 06 and provide the property owner’s information. Allente will let you know how to return the box (return labels, etc.).
Do you need Wi-Fi for the Allente box to work?
Allente has modified the software so that the boxes do not need Wi-Fi or an internet connection to work. You can therefore ignore that information in the manual. Information about the box is available at TV Box Prime/Samsung UHD 680 – Allente
How do I get subtitles for the shows?
You should be able to access subtitles on most channels using your set-top box remote control. Once you’re on a channel, press the down arrow or the OK button—a language menu should then appear at the bottom of the screen. There, you can select Swedish subtitles (CC). If that doesn’t work, Allente’s collective agreement support team can help you. Contact them and mention that your inquiry is regarding subtitles.
You can't receive teletext with the Allente set-top box.
