If you have caused damage to the apartment yourself, or if there is wear and tear that goes beyond normal use, you may be liable to pay for the repairs. Examples of such wear and tear include grease stains on walls, holes in walls, damaged or torn wallpaper, and water damage.
If you have renovated the apartment yourself, you are responsible for ensuring that the work is performed in a professional manner. If the renovation does not meet sufficient quality standards, or if the choice of paint or wallpaper is so unconventional that we need to make corrections in order to rent out the apartment again, you may be required to pay for the restoration.
We recommend that you be present during the inspection. That way, any questions or uncertainties can be clarified right away.
