Examples of trash you should take to Risängen include:
- Broken furniture
- Scrap metal such as frying pans.
- Textiles that are intact, clean, and dry and can be reused or recycled. Torn socks, as well as textiles that are stained, soiled, or torn, should be disposed of in the general waste, however.
- Electronics such as computers, televisions, toys, and vacuum cleaners.
- Environmentally hazardous waste such as batteries, light bulbs, leftover paint, and chemicals.
- Christmas trees and yard waste.
You are not allowed to leave trash at our recycling stations—instead, as a tenant, you are responsible for transporting it to Risängen on Komponentvägen.

Throwing things away unnecessarily is bad for both the environment and your wallet. Before you throw something away, it’s a good idea to ask yourself:
- If the product is broken—is it possible to fix it? Fixing your own belongings and clothes isn’t usually as hard as it looks. For example, the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation offers various guides, such as this one on how to mend a hole in a sweater.
- Is there anyone else who wants the product? If so, you could, for example, resell it or donate it to charity. What’s trash to you might be valuable to someone else.
