Save water

There are some fairly simple ways to conserve water—our most important natural resource. A resource we often take for granted, even though water is essential to all life, the world’s most important food source, and one of our major climate challenges. We’ve put together a few tips on how you can conserve water.
  • Flush with cold water only when the water temperature is not an issue.
  • Turn off the shower when you're lathering up or washing your hair.
  • Challenge yourself—can you shower faster?
  • Turn off the water while you brush your teeth.
  • Use a sink stopper or a basin when washing dishes by hand.
  • Rinse the dishes in cold water.
  • Only run full loads in the dishwasher and washing machine.
  • Please report dripping faucets and leaky toilets so we can fix them for you.
