You can now join the housing waiting list for student housing the year you turn 15, instead of the year you turn 18, as was previously the case. For the general housing waiting list, you must still be at least 15 years old to join the list.
You must still be admitted to the University of Skövde in order to sign a contract. The change specifies that you must be enrolled in at least 15 higher education credits (hp) per semester, which corresponds to part-time studies.
In addition, students are now required to earn at least 15 credits per semester—the same requirement that CSN has for student financial aid—in order to continue holding a lease for one of our student housing units.
Once you have completed your studies, you must give notice to terminate the lease yourself, without being told to do so by Skövdebostäder. That is how it is now, and will continue to be so.
A study progress check will be conducted at least once per semester. If you do not meet the academic requirements at that time, you must submit a notice of termination for your apartment, regardless of whether you have completed your studies or not. There are certain circumstances under which you may be granted an exemption if you apply for one through Skövdebostäder—do not wait until you are flagged during a check. Fill out the exemption application form and send it to uthyrning@skovdebostader.se
