For example, if you think a scheduled floor sanding or wallpapering is unnecessary, you’ll receive a rent discount instead. Conversely, you can bring forward the maintenance and pay a fee to, for example, have new wallpaper installed earlier than it would normally have been replaced.
Place your order on My Pages
As one of our tenants, you can log in to My Pages at any time to view your apartment’s maintenance status. There, you can find information about the costs of early maintenance, depreciation periods, and any applicable discounts. You can also request maintenance directly through My Pages. When you submit a request via My Pages, we’ll send a request list to your home. Bring the list with you to the Bobutiken when you’re ready to make your selections. If you’re a new tenant, an order list will be sent to you when you sign your lease.
You can create a shortcut to My Pages on your phone by adding My Pages to your home screen. This will make it easier for you to access the page.
Questions and answers
You can view the wallpaper and flooring options at the Bobutiken store at Drottninggatan 2A.
You can also find the wallpapers at borastapeter.com or at Billinge Färg.
Borosan Hem and Borosan Bas are part of Skövdebostäder's standard selection; you can choose from these wallpapers.
When you select wallpaper at Billinge Färg, your selection is communicated to us.
You have the option to choose wallpaper outside of our standard selection. If you do, we’ll deduct 110 kr per roll from your wallpaper cost; this applies to regular prices. For example, if a roll costs 400 kr, you’ll pay 290 kr per roll. The additional wallpaper cost (i.e., the amount beyond the 110 kr per roll that we cover) will then be included on your rent statement.
Yes, you can have an accent wall.
If you want this, you'll need to mark on a floor plan which wallpaper or paint should go on each wall.
When painting or wallpapering, the ceiling is repainted.
If deemed necessary, the doors are also painted. If the doors are painted wood, they are treated with Garbinol (oil).
If your apartment has wallpaper, you can only choose wallpaper. If, on the other hand, the walls are painted, you can choose between repainting or wallpapering.
The wait time is about 4–6 weeks for wallpapering and about 10 weeks for flooring.
For wallpaper installation and flooring installation that need to be coordinated, the wait time is approximately 10–12 weeks. Sometimes the wait time may be slightly longer, for example during vacation periods.
Remember! If you haven't moved in yet, the waiting period is counted from the date your lease takes effect.
No, the renovation will be carried out during the term of your lease.
Yes, you can. You'll then receive a list in the mail where you'll need to fill in your choices and return it to us.
Generally speaking, it takes one workday per requested service.
For example, one workday to re-wallpaper the hallway. Flooring work and wallpapering the hallway will take two workdays.
Scheduling is a one-time fee that you must pay when you request a service that, according to the maintenance plan, is not currently scheduled for repair.
No, you have to order that yourself. If you choose not to place an order for a service that has expired—for example, replacing the refrigerator when it’s time—you’ll receive a discount on your base rent instead.
Yes, you can upgrade your apartment by ordering new appliances at any time during the year. For example, if you don’t have a dishwasher and would like to order one, you can do so using a form specific to your area. Exactly what you can order depends on what’s possible in the building where you live and what’s already in your apartment. You can find the forms on the page about Upgrading Standards.
Once installed, the product becomes part of the apartment's standard features and cannot be opted out of. The cost is included in the base rent; therefore, it is not itemized separately on the rent statement.
Yes, but you can wait until our technicians contact you; they will call you to schedule an appointment. When they schedule the appointment, they will let you know what you need to prepare.
For example, you are responsible for moving furniture, ceiling lights, and other items out of the way.
When painting or wallpapering, some furniture can be gathered in the center of the room; in that case, there should be at least one and a half meters of clear space away from the walls.
When doing flooring work, everything must be removed from the room.
Answer: Yes, you can. In that case, the following applies:
- Charging for the early activation fee:
If the product has a remaining early activation fee, you will be charged this amount. - Replacement of both units:
We always replace the refrigerator and freezer at the same time. Therefore, you will be charged the early replacement fee for both units if the fee still applies—even if you have only requested the replacement of one unit. - No “free with purchase” rule:
You cannot exchange one appliance and get the other for free. If there is a remaining balance on the freezer but not on the refrigerator (or vice versa), you will be charged for the appliance with the remaining balance.
Note: This applies only to HLU orders. If a product breaks and needs to be replaced, different rules apply.
Own renovation
Yes, you have the right to paint and wallpaper the apartment on your own, but you are responsible for the cost.
Keep in mind that the work must be performed in a professional manner and that the changes must not be too extreme. If the changes do not meet these requirements, you may be liable for damages and required to restore the surfaces to their original condition. The property manager will assess this during the final inspection of the apartment.
We recommend that you do not paint over the wallpaper, as this can cause it to peel away from the wall. If you plan to paint, you'll need to remove the wallpaper first.
