You can upgrade the standard of your apartment by opting for new equipment at any time during the year. Once installed, the product becomes part of the apartment’s standard and cannot be opted out of. The cost is included in the base rent; therefore, it is not itemized separately on the rent statement.
After installation, the products become part of Skövdebostäder’s maintenance system and are divided into property-owner-controlled (items we decide on) and tenant-controlled (items you can decide on). If you choose to opt out of new equipment offered by the tenant-controlled part of the system, you may receive a rent discount after the depreciation period. However, in that case, you’ll be responsible for ongoing maintenance yourself.
Prices for the standard upgrade are based on Skövdebostäder’s cost of providing the product and are determined following negotiations with the Tenants’ Association. Below, you will find the form and prices for the standard upgrade in your specific area.
