“I’m glad we’ve reached an agreement. We need to offset the cost increases we’re facing for water, heat, and waste management, among other things. This is essential if we are to continue offering high-quality service to our tenants in the long term and providing safe, comfortable homes that meet high standards,” says Katarina Prick, CEO of Skövdebostäder.
Elevation of Garages and Parking Lots
The negotiations also established a general increase in garage fees of 40 kronor per month, as garage fees had not been raised since 2018. At the same time, Skövdebostäder will raise the rates for its standard parking spaces—which are not negotiated with the Tenants’ Association—to 180 kronor in areas closer to the city center and to 160 kronor at Aspö Eko-logi, Timmervägen, Spånvägen Jordfräsen upcoming Jordfräsen Trädgårdsstaden.
“We haven’t raised parking and garage rates for several years now, as we’ve been reviewing the contracts. Starting now, the provision stating that only passenger cars may be parked in these spaces will be relaxed slightly so that residents can park their moped cars or other similar vehicles. In addition, we’re taking this opportunity to bring our pricing in line with current market rates for parking, says Katarina Prick, CEO of Skövdebostäder.
The rent for listed properties is the new rent. The exception is parking spaces listed as “p-direkt,” as they are available immediately, but the lease will be based on the new rent.
