Kurorten is perfectly located right next to the campus, the city center, the student union building, and the travel center. The popular Skrapan building at Kurortsvägen 18 offers a fantastic view of Skövde. At Kurortsvägen 12–16, all apartments have their own balcony or patio.
The apartments have fully tiled bathrooms. In addition to the regular laundry rooms, there is also a so-called “spontaneous laundry room” for residents of Kurortsvägen 12–18 who suddenly find themselves with a little free time.
Right outside, there is a tennis court and the beautiful surroundings of Boulognerskogen, including a swimming lake. You have access to a sauna, and there is a community room available for use in the area. Please note that elevator replacements in the area will affect access to these facilities for some time to come. The sauna will therefore be closed until spring 2027, and the community room will be closed from mid-March through December 2027.
Most places are within biking or walking distance, and there are plenty of train and bus connections from the travel center. So you don’t need to own a car—which is good for both the environment and your wallet. There are a few parking spaces in the area, and they’re rented out through a special waiting list.
At Kurortsvägen 12–18, hot and cold water are included, but you’ll need to sign your own electricity contract. The exception is if you live at Kurortsvägen 10—in that case, you don’t need to sign your own contract.
Kurortsvägen 10 was completed in time for the fall semester of 2021—a modern building with space-efficient apartments. This building is smoke-free. Therefore, smoking is not permitted in or around the building, but only in designated areas. Learn more about what a smoke-free building means here.
Elevator Replacement at Kurorten
We will be replacing the elevators at Kurortsvägen 12–18 starting in the fall of 2026. The work will affect our tenants in various ways. There will be some disruption in the stairwell, noise will be present, and the elevators will be out of service at times. Read more about the elevator replacements here.
