Housing queue – smart to stay put

If you’ve just moved in with us, you might not be thinking about moving again right now. But down the road, you might need an apartment in a different location or of a different size. When you signed the lease for your new apartment queue points you used up your previous queue points they’re no longer available.

This means that when you sign a lease for an apartment with us, your previous queue points are reset, queue points you automatically begin earning new queue points. You therefore do not need to submit a new expression of interest to earn queue points. However, it is important to remember to update your expression of interest at least once every 12 months to remain in the queue.

Even if you already live with us, you must join the housing waiting list if you want to move. You can apply for a new apartment no sooner than 6 months after your most recent lease took effect.
