Basic Parking Rules
- This applies toone (1) parking space per household.
- In some areas, there is a shortage of parking spaces, which means wecannot guarantee parking for all households.
- The line istied to your neighborhood.
- If you move to a different area, you'll have to startover in line.
How to Find a Parking Space
When you're waiting in line to park, here's what to do:
- Search for available parking spaces on our website or through My Pages.
- Please express your interest in the positions that suit you.
Parking applications are processedonce a week, on Tuesdays.
The applicant withthe highestnumberof queue pointswill then be offered the space.
If you already have a parking space
If you already have a parking space and are offered another one, the offer is considered anexchange.
If you say yes:
- Your current position is being terminated.
- You will then need tosign a separate contract for the new parking space or garage.
Visitor Parking
Visitor parking spaces are for your guests. As a tenant, you are not allowed to use visitor parking:
- not even temporarily.
- Nor does it apply if a family member drives a car registered in your name.
If you park illegally, you risk receivinga parking ticket. Parking enforcement is carried outaroundthe clockby a security company. If you have any concerns about a parking ticket, always contact the security company using the information provided on the ticket.
What is P-direkt?
P-Direct is used when there is a surplus of parking spaces in an area. This means that, as a tenant, you can:
- rentan additional parking space if, for example,the householdhastwo cars.
"P-Direkt" parking spaces are marked "P-Direkt" and are rented out ona first-come, first-served basis. The first person to express interest gets the spot—so it’s important to act quickly.
Important Information About P-Direkt
The agreement for an additional parking space always includes aclause. This means that Skövdebostäder can terminate the agreement with one month's notice if:
- there is a shortage of parking in the area, and
- Another tenant in the area who doesn't have a parking space needs one
Available parking spaces are posted on the website under "Search for Availability – Parking."
Would you like to change parking spots?
If you find an available parking spot that suits you better than the one you have now, you can switch to it.
Here's how it works:
- You can express your interest in the available parking space.
- If you receive an offer and accept it, your current position will be terminated.
Notice period:
- Parking space and carport:1 month
- Garage:3 months
The contract for your new position takes effect once your notice period has expired. You can easily sign the agreement digitally usingBankID.
Rent a parking space if you are not a tenant
If you are not a tenant with us, you can rent a parking space through P-direkt. These are parking spaces that are available for immediate rental. When you rent a P-direkt space, you sign a contract that includes a termination clause. This means that we can terminate the contract with one month’s notice if a resident in the area needs the parking space. The contract is sent to your email and can be easily signed using BankID. The price is listed for each parking space. Notice periods- 1 calendar month for a parking space and a carport.
- 3 calendar months for a garage.
How to Apply for a P-Direct Position
- Visit our website
- Search for an available P-Direct parking space
- Once you've found a place you'd like to rent, email the following information to uthyrning@skovdebostader.se:

- Street address,
- zip code and city
- Cell phone number
- Email address
Quick Facts
If you, as a tenant, would like a parking space or garage, please submit an expression of interest for parking on My Pages.
You can find available parking spaces under "Search for Available Spaces – Parking." You must be a tenant and logged in to "My Pages" to express your interest. The parking spaces can also be found on "My Pages."
Avoid fines! If you're a tenant with us, you're not allowed to park in the visitor parking spaces.
Parking spaces are leased through lease agreements, and the fee is usually increased each year.
You are responsible for clearing snow from your parking space.
In most of our neighborhoods, you can rent one parking space (parking spot, carport, or garage) per household. If we have extra parking spaces available, you as a tenant have the option to rent an additional parking space, a “P-direkt.” Read more about P-direkt further up on this page.
You don't need to update your parking interest registration; it doesn't have an expiration date. However, it's worth noting that if you move to a different area, your queue points will be reset when you move.
You can register your interest in a P-direkt. If you’re the first to register your interest, you’ll receive an offer from Skövdebostäder, and the parking space will be available immediately.
The lease agreement for the additional parking space includes a clause and can be terminated with one month's notice.
