Even if you move within Skövdebostäder, you'll need to contact your service providers yourself to:
- cancel, move, or
- sign up for new subscriptions
Do this well in advance of the move.
Electricity Subscription
This applies to most homes.
No later than two weeks before moving in, you must:
- Sign up for an internet service plan with Skövde Energi
- choose and sign a contract with an electricity provider

Exceptions – certain residential areas
If you live in any of the following areas, you do not need to sign up for your own electricity service:
- Bataljonen
- Bostället
- Fältskären
- Jordfräsen
- 10 Kurortsvägen
- Mossagården
- Plutonen
- Timmergränd
- Spånvägen
- Timmerlyckan
- Timmervägen
In these areas, electricity and water are metered individually. Skövdebostäder handles the electricity account, and you pay only for the electricity you use.
Electricity consumption:
- is read every month
- will be charged one month in arrears on your rent statement
Example:
Electricity used in February is billed on the April rent statement.
This also means that you may receive a final bill after you’ve moved out.
TV, Internet, and Phone Service
Starting two weeks before your start date, you can sign up for a subscription to
- Internet
- telephony
- TV
You also have the option to subscribe to a free selection of TV channels.
