How We Approach Renovations
Every year, we plan and carry out a number of major renovation projects. These can range from replacing roofs or elevators to upgrading the ventilation system and replacing kitchen appliances. The goal of these renovations is to ensure well-maintained neighborhoods where our tenants can live in sustainable and safe homes for many years to come.
Customer Value and Sustainability
When we decide on and plan our renovation projects, we take many factors into account.
Among other things, we take into account what tenants in the area themselves think, for example through our customer survey. We have ambitious climate goals—which means we want to save energy in our buildings but at the same time avoid replacing things unnecessarily. We also want to take a long-term financial approach when we renovate, so that we can continue to offer affordable homes.
Over an 11-year period, we carried out a comprehensive renovation of 2,200 apartments built between the 1950s and the 1970s. Spånvägen one of the areas that received an upgrade with new kitchens and bathrooms.
