In other residential areas, you open the entrance using a key fob. Guests use the intercom to gain entry.
If you are moving into a residential complex with an intercom system, you need to let your building manager know which phone number you want the intercom to be connected to. You can do this when you pick up your keys. If you change your phone number later, contact your building manager to update your information.
In residential areas without perimeter security, use your own key to open the front door.
Here's how to let your visitors in using your cell phone:
Call the apartment from the intercom:
For visitors to a residential facility
- Select the first letter of the resident's last name on the display.
- Then select the correct name from the list.
- The resident's phone rings, and they can open the front door for you.
At night (10:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.)
During the night, you cannot search for names on the intercom. You will need to enter the resident’s registered phone number directly on the keypad.
For those of you who are expecting visitors
When the phone rings:
- Press * or 5 to open the front door.
- Press # or hang up if you do not want to let the visitor in.
Use your key fob
Hold the key fob in front of the reader at the entrance door.
- A green light means the door will open.
- A red light means the tag has not been approved. Contact your building manager, and we'll help you.
