Smoking on the balcony or patio
Smoking on the balcony or patio may be perceived as a nuisance by neighbors. What is perceived as a nuisance varies from person to person, so it’s important to keep in mind that smoking can affect your neighbors. In addition to affecting those on their own balconies, smoke can also enter a neighbor’s apartment through ventilation openings. If you, as a neighbor, are bothered by someone smoking, the first step is to let the smoker know. The smoker is likely unaware that it’s causing a disturbance.

Smoking Ban at Playgrounds and Outside Certain Entrances
Smoking is prohibited in the following residential areas:
- At most of our playgrounds.
- Outside public entrances. This means that smoking is prohibited outside Bobutiken, at Aspö gård outside the entrances to commercial premises such as stores.
The law applies to areas intended for the general public and not just for our tenants, which means that the smoking ban does not apply outside the entrances to ordinary residential buildings or outside common areas. However, it is of course important to be considerate of your neighbors regardless.
