Snow removal

We follow clear procedures and have contingency plans in place when clearing snow. To ensure accessibility in our areas, we use both machinery and manual snow removal—the method we choose depends, among other things, on the layout of the area and how the snow is falling.

Once the snow has been cleared, we spread gravel on the streets and sidewalks to reduce the risk of slipping.
Be sure to exercise caution, for example when walking to your car, so you don’t risk falling.

Preparedness and Priorities

Some of our employees are on call outside of regular working hours and step in when needed. Snow can fall at any time of day or night, so it’s important that we can start working as soon as it begins to fall. During heavy snowfall, we sometimes need to prioritize our efforts. We work as quickly as we can and do our best to ensure that roads remain passable.

Who shovels my parking space?

As a tenant, you are responsible for shoveling your parking space. This also applies to the area in front of garage doors after snowplowing, where a strip of snow often remains. You can borrow a snow shovel from us—contact your building manager if you’d like to borrow one.
